Granite™

Mobiun’s Granite Platform is a purpose-designed platform for the development and execution of mobile applications. The platform consists of two elements.

Mobile Application Run-Time (MRT)

Mobiun’s Application RunTime is the interpreter that executes the Davidia Script upon a particular Mobile phone type. Mobiun currently has MRTs available for BlackBerry, Java ME, Window Mobile and Symbian. A deployed application typically consists of a specific Davidia Script and the appropriate runtime for the environment.

Granite Software Development Kit (GSDK)

The granite software development kit contains a set of facilities that allow the creation and maintenance of network enabled mobile applications for the supported runtimes.

The Development kit includes the following elements: 

• A data and service integration engine.
• The Davidia Scripting development environment.
• A WebAdmin framework.

An integration engine that is designed to run within a hosted environment and deliver enterprise data and service capabilities to the runtimes. The engine is distributable across multiple servers, with telco grade transactional throughput capabilities.

Davidia is a purpose designed mobile application scripting environment that allows the service provider to dynamically modify the behavior and functionality of the mobile application without the need for the consumer to actively download new content.  

To provide easy deployment and management of applications. deployed on our Platform, Mobiun offers a web-based Administration framework that can be user to create a web administration facility for the specific application area.
